Day 01 – Arrival At Kota Kinabalu (D)Airport transfer to Village home. In the evening photography session with traditional Kadazan costume. Learn Sumazau dance with Magagung (traditional gongs). Dinner with host amidst native story telling. Day 02 – Village activities & Garama River Safari ( BLD)Brew your own rice wine and enjoy. Learn to cook native delicacies. At 1400hr embark on 2hrs drive towards Southwest part of Sabah to AL-JO Riverside Café along the Garama river for an afternoon tea with snacks. Boat cruise through the wetlands along the Garama river amidst the tranquility and serenity of mangroves, nipah palms, shrubs and secondary vegetation, in search of the Proboscis monkeys and other wildlife like Macaque monkeys, the rare Silver Langur, birds and reptiles, flying foxes and water buffaloes. Watch the sunset (weather permitting) and hundreds of fireflies lighting up the trees. A sumptuous traditional Malaysian dinner will be served at AL-JO Riverside Cafe before returning to KK. Day 03 – Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (BLD)Take a 20 minutes boat ride to Manukan Island for an idyllic morning of sun bathing, swimming in crystal clear waters or just lazing in the shade on a tropical island. Enjoy BBQ lunch on Sapi island before departing at 1500hr. Free to explore the city on your own or shop. In the evening learn handicraft such as making manik bracelets. Day 04 - Poring Hotspring & Kinabalu Park (BLD)0730hr Enjoy scenic drive across the spectacular Crocker Range stopping briefly at Nabalu fruits and handicraft stalls to Poring Hot Springs (130km). Trek through a hill dipterocarp forest to reach a jungle canopy walkway 40m above the forest floor. Relax in open air outdoor tubs filled with hot/cold running mineral waters. Visit the Kinabalu Park (754sqkm) gazetted as a World Heritage site in November 2000. A priceless environmental resource and home to Mt Kinabalu (4,095.2m) Borneo’s highest peak and to more than half the world’s genera of flowering plants, with several plants, animals & birds found nowhere else. At Park HQ (1540m), visit the Exhibit Centre, Mt Garden to see orchids, rhododendrons, ferns, pitcher plants, kerosene trees and others. Take a jungle walk near the Park HQ and learn more about the Montane Forest. Mid afternoon return to Kota Kinabalu. Farewell dinner with host.
